3 Phases of Christianity

Image
The Three B's of Christian Life:The three phases of being a Christian -  Believe The first thing, which is also the entry point into Christianity is salvation. Salvation as it is, is the central theme of the bible. Reconciliation to God, our original source. For by one man(Adam) sin came into the world and all by this all have sinned and have fall short of the Glory of God but whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” ‭‭( Romans‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬ ) “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ ) Salvation is a big word of the bible but salvation is not as it is misinterpreted in some generality, confession of sins. Salavtion yes is reconnecting back to the life of God, restoring relationship with the Father,  and simply involves ONLY, according to Romans 10:9-10, confessing wi

Living in God's Will

Consider an airplane, designed to fly. It's natural base of operations is the sky, beyond the clouds. Imagine a particular plane that chose to make motor roads its base of operations. Such a plane is not only operating outside of design, operating short of what it's destined to, it is also making itself dangerous by operating where it is not designed to. See previous post here: Abounding in Giving!! This is the story of a great percentage of Christians. Choosing to operate outside of the original design God made specifically for them, outside of God's will. They won't only be underperforming but also be a danger to themselves and others. Be it unto us according to your word Oh Lord, let your will be done on earth and in our lives as you have designed it in heaven, as you have chosen us to be before the foundations of the world as you have predestined us to be before you to the good pleasure of your will. This here should be our life motto as believers. Nothing

Abounding in Giving.!

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” ‭‭ 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ A lot of people always quote in prayer, the scripture above, for God to make all grace abound toward them; that they have sufficiency in all things, full stop. They neglect the "that they may abound to every good works" part. See previous post here: Obedience in Prayer!! In context, the scripture is not a "prayer for need" scripture. It is not a surplus supply of need scripture, in that sense. It is actually a prayer to be "bleesed to be a blessing" scripture. Every good work in this verse refers to giving to others, which is our seed sown as we can see in the next verse (2Cor9:9).   The whole of the chapter ( 2Cor9 ),  is centred on giving: help for needy believers. We are admonished to give. For as believers it is our way of life. In giving, we have to; Give as we a

Obedience in Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. ( Matt6:9-10 NIV ) Faith and Grace teachings in most places(churches) have over shadowed obedience teachings and have blotted out its importance. There are principles in the things of the spirit, and obedience is one key factor. Once you can identify these principles, and you follow/obey them, you are set for life. Someone may be wondering, obedience in prayer, what's that about? It's as simple as it is. When you obey the principle, you get the results. And Jesus speaking said, "This, then, is how you should pray:  'Our Father in heaven,  hallowed be your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' "  ( Matt6:9-10 NIV ) Ever wondered why pray you and don't get answers?! Have you been praying your will and not the Father's will?! Have you subjected yourself to a self-harassing, non-productive and p

Renew(ing) your Land!!

If you've ever thought about it, you'll recognise the fact that our minds, the human mind is always engaged every second, every minute, every time. Like I usually like to put it, there's never an idle mind.                The mind has no sleep mode, hibernation or shut down mode. It's a processing unit that's always running on million of codes per time. The mind is a very important tool and holds the most powerful driving force on a man's life and The Word  puts it, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ (See GNT )                See your mind as a peice of land, and your thoughts as seeds. What seeds are you planting 🌱 in your mind?! What seeds should you plant 🌱 in your mind?! Apostle Paul admonishes us in his letter to the phillipians, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatso

Always Share!!

So today, in a separate conversation with two persons, one said "shebi u be pastor"  and the other said "Seriously, Actually noticed you've been posting Bible passages these days, you don born again?".  I didn't think much of the former, but i did engage the latter in a lengthy conversation because he went on to say "I really wish I can be serious like you too, just that all these worldly things won't let me be"  And to the glory of God, the conversation was fruitful. Which actually is the testimony of this post. Later in the day thinking about the former and wondering why people have settled for the notion that you are a pastor just because you share God's word, i realized it is because we are failing as believers. Believers have abandoned their duties as propagators of the gospel. We have left it all to the Ministry gifts to do the work of Christ. Little wonder anyone sharing the word today is perceived to be a pastor. A
